How it works -

it's simple!

For the driver

Drivers are referred to the detailed information set in the Drivers’ private area, to which they have dedicated access.

If you are a new driver, please contact info@holtacs.org.uk for access.

For the client

You (or a family member, friend or neighbour acting on your behalf) may request transport by HACS provided that you are a registered patient of the Holt Medical Practice by ringing our Joint Coordinators, Liz Traynier or Rachel Joliffe, on 01263 711243.

Please note that - both for your own safety and the safety of our drivers - we can only transport you if are able to get in and out of a vehicle unaided and to get yourself about your destination upon arrival. If not, you will need to be accompanied by someone who can provide that assistance.

Once a driver has been found, they will contact you to introduce themselves and make the arrangements for your collection. Again, if you have any severe mobility issues and/or require the need to take your own wheelchair or walking frame, you should discuss this with the driver to ensure that they have room in their vehicle for these and any companion, if required.

The driver will indicate to you the likely requested donation for the journey, being the shortest practicable route. Contributions are not compulsory, but whatever you can reasonably afford is always appreciated and helps us to keep the special service we offer in operation.
